Your Help Is Needed...

Meaningful Minds United, Inc is a 501 c(3) organization located in Lafayette, Louisiana. Founded in 2005, and re-established during the Covid pandemic, our mission has always been to provide direct peer services and education to individuals with behavioral health challenges, as well as their families, and the community at large. We accomplish this through various programs we offer such as Emotional CPR and Target Health. Unfortunately, Louisiana has always been on the bottom ranking when it comes to facing mental health challenges for adults and children. The Covid pandemic only served to amplify the need for mental health services.

During 2022, Meaningful Minds United educated Lafayette PARC and Acadiana Area Human Services District social workers in Emotional CPR. Emotional CPR not only teaches individuals how to identify a person in distress but also serves as a tool to de-escalate and provide support to an individual during a crisis. We also provided educational programs for youth in the Young Leaders of Lafayette summer camp in addition to participating in several events to support individuals in their recovery. We are adding programs to our list in 2023 that will assist us in providing jobs for individuals with disabilities. To thank members of our community for their dedication and efforts during National Crime Victims Rights Week, Meaningful Minds United presented first responders with awards. We know here at Meaningful Minds United, it takes a village....  And that's why we are reaching out to YOU...

Your donations enable us to continue offering services that benefit the community. YOUR community.  We need your help to succeed. Please don't hesitate to share your assistance. Because one thing we do know...

Mental health doesn't wait.
****If you or anyone you know is feeling suicidal, we urge you to contact the Suicide Hotline, immediately. We are an organization premised on peer support and are not a medical clinic nor do we employ any medical staff.
